We left our hotel in Illinois early this morning and arrived
in Chicago around noon. After we ate
lunch and got unpacked we went to look at the church we will be doing VBS at
this week. While we were there we did a
little prayer walking and set up for church tomorrow. Then Kevin gave us a tour of the city and we
saw how diverse Detroit is, some areas are more modern, while others have
abandoned buildings and homeless people everywhere. After we ate we started studying 2 Timothy
for our devotions and went over VBS a little.
Then we had dessert and free time before falling into bed.

Will here, today we left the state of Illinois bright and
early, starting the final leg of our journey. Nothing of importance happened
during this, we mostly slept. Finally with aching arms and legs we arrived at
Detroit Love, the former Polish community center, ate lunch and then was shown
D-town by Kevin. We saw the church, which we will be going to tomorrow, and
having big A in this coming week. We also saw Heidelberg, a street filled with
modern art. It’s rather cool and kind of weird. At last we had dinner and
devotions. Now I’m writing a blog

You too are strangers/aliens in a strange land, called in obedience to God's purpose. Praying for each of you as you draw people near to Christ! God bless you.
ReplyDelete"...remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."
