Sunday-
Hi Everyone! This is Ella writing and my second time on the trip! Sunday is such a fun day because it’s our first full day in Detroit. We spent a lot of this day preparing for VBS (big A) and learning about Detroit. We also go to church at People’s Missionary Baptist Church. Our morning started off with breakfast then we walked downtown and saw the GM building. Church was next and is always such a cool experience, it’s different from a normal Timberwood service but so to see how others worship God. Unfortunately we don’t have Kevin here this year but we do have Lori still along with Heidi and Chuck. I really enjoy their teaching style and know that God is going to do amazing things on the trip. We got out teams for morning ministries and chores. Barbie, Tyler, Caleb, Micah and I are team 4! We are already getting into crazy adventures together, and I am excited to see what God does this week for us. I am so grateful for this team and can’t wait to spend the week together. See you all on Saturday!
Hi Everyone! This is Isaac Quisberg doing my blog on my 1st Detroit trip. I'm writing about sunday the our first full day at Love. We started our day after breakfast by going on a 40 minute walk to the GM building and got to learn about the culture in Detroit. We had a funny experience while on the walk this on lady started walking around Caleb calling him Big Daddy. It was a fun walk with friends and getting to know each other. We then got changed and went to church at Peoples it was a cool experience getting to see how other churches run their stuff. We then got in our teams for chores and im on team 1 with Cooper, Natalie, Riley, and Melissa. We flew through the bathrooms and helped finish cleaning the gym which is a big job. We also started devotions, worship and talking about how we saw God that day. A lot happened but that was only day 1.
