Greetings from Elgin, IL!
After our first travel day, we are settling in for the evening at a hotel in Elgin.
Travel went well! Dance parties, ice breaker questions on the half hour, trivia questions, walkie talkie games, and the amazing snack bags that were packed by two awesome women from church (thank you Valerie and Terri!), all helped us pass the time on our first day of travel.
After we arrived, we met as a team to finish sharing our faith stories followed by eating some genuine Chicago pizza!
The last few hours have been spent playing games, pool time, going for walks and resting before we wake early tomorrow to finish the rest of our travel.
Our team is excited and expectant of what is to come! We are ready to roll into Detroit and start to get acquainted with the city (or reunite with it for those who have been there before!)
Thank you for your prayers thus far! There will be much more to share as we set fit in the city.
Please continue to pray for health, team unity, being in tune with the Spirit and whatever else comes to your mind and heart for our team. Also, for those who we are going to meet in Detroit each and every day. Pray for their hearts and that God would bring exactly who He wants to across our path.
